Emma Jane Cooley was born on November 18, 1820 in Connecticut, a daughter of Earl Cooley and Rhoda Graves .[1]
She married Joseph Gilbert Ives on November 29, 1837 in Middletown, Middlesex, Connecticut [2], and they had four children:
Rhoda Rosenah, 1839-13 Nov. 1860
Selina E., 1841 - 17 April 1896
Emma H., 1842 - 18 Oct. 1871
Flora Estella, 1859 - 21 May 1864
Emma died on March 3, 1906 in Middletown[3], and she is buried in Indian Hill Cemetery there. [4]
