Anthony Snow COOMBS, born at Harpswell, ME, on 28 Nov 1802;^[1] died 9 Mar 1885; his marriage (1st) int. published at Litchfield, ME, on 7 Dec 1835 to Elizabeth C. ASHFORD, he was of Windsor, ME, and she was of Litchfield,^[2] and they were married 23 Dec 1835.

Elizabeth C. Ashford was born 16 Jul 1815 and died 30 Mar 1859.

Anthony Snow Coombs and Elizabeth C. Ashford had four children:

Robert Ashford COOMBS, born 4 Nov 1836; died 20 Dec 1836

Mary COOMBS, born 5 Sep 1837; died 10 Mar 1843

Anthony was married (2nd) 9 May 1872 to Julia Ann MARSH.

Anthony moved to Windsor, ME, with his parents. In most deeds his vocation is listed as tanner and occasionally as yeoman. He purchased a quarter interest in a grist mill at Windsor in 1832.^[3] The next year he purchased 25 acres off the west end of lot 17 in the eastern division of the town. This acreage was next to land owned by Anthony’s father.^[4]
