Biography
Mary was born in 1843, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Blocker) Cooper. She married Benjamin Ricks Winter. Among their children were:

- Ben Torrance Winter 1864–1943
- Bettie B. (Winter) Upshaw 1867-1948
- Mollie (Winter) Townes 1873–1959
- John Dawson Winter 1879–1938[1]
Mary passed away in 1925[2]

Research Notes
According to the 1900 census Mollie is in Mississippi in the home of his son-in-law Robert Townes and her daughter Mollie, Robert’s wife. With them is also another son William C., with his wife Talby L. (or Falby?) and two-year-old son Benzock[3].
