Biography

"Samuel Cooper, (b.by 1751) son of John (1730), father of Zac and Wells, is listed in the Taxables of Currituck Ct N.C 1779 with : Livestock -4- ÊPersons -7- slaves 6. So if Samuel and his wife + Zac are 3 , Wells is too young to be listed in 1779-does he have other other sons and daughters??? Zac and Wells are on the orphans list about 1795 until 1800. If there are other children, they could be to old to be on the orphans list. Just another thought to consider...since there is no indication where George W. comes from except the vague reference to Scotland...

It is documented that Isles, son of John (b 1730) who married Mary Nancy Edwards did not come from Scotland...as reported in some earlier writings. Thomas , Isles brother , makes him executor and to be as a father to my children. "(email from jskywalker)
