According to the 1880 census, her father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother in Virginia. The 1900 and 1910 census say her mother was born in Pennsylvania.
She married Erastus Newman in 1866 according to the 1900 census. Her son Albert's death certificate lists her full/maiden name as Martha Rosella Connon.
She passed away about 1911.
