Biography

Martha Cooper was the daughter of Edmund Cooper and Mary Wynne. Martha "Cowper" was baptised at Henlow, Bedfordshire, 15 Mar 1578.^[1][2]

Martha married, at Henlow, James Sampson, 20 May 1599.^[3][4] She was the mother of ten children, one of whom was Henry Sampson, born 1604, who emigrated to New England in 1620 on the Mayflower.

Martha was buried at Henlow 17 Aug 1654.^[5][6]
