Hamilton Bond Cooper was born on February 15, 1815 in Mississippi Territory, son of William Gill Cooper (1777–1849) and Dempsey Donaho (1788–1843).

Hamilton married Sarah Bond Jacob (born on October 20, 1817 in Pike, Mississippi; daughter of Walter Jacob and Gracey Bond).[1] Their children were:

In 1860, Hamilton (45) was living in Newton with his wife, Sarah (42); his brother, William (21); and Hamliton Cooper (45), Hamlton Cooper (14), Permelia Cooper (12), and Joseph Cooper (8). [2]

In 1880, Hamilton (65) was living in Beat 1, Newton with his wife, Sarah (62); and Hamilton Cooper (65), Caroline C. Garvin (36), and Samuel S. Garvin (20). [3]

Hamilton died on July 1, 1894 in Decatur, Newton, United States, aged 79. He was buried in Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Newton County, Mississippi.[4]
