Biography
Joseph Cooper, the son of John Cooper and Mary Thompson, was born September 11, 1683, baptized September 27, 1685 and died in 1747. He married Abigail Smith, the daughter of Thomas Smith and Elizabeth Patterson. They had 8 children: Phebe, Lydia, Joseph, Stephen, Joel, Abigail, Thankful, and Joel.[1]
The marriage date of 1706 is an estimate based on the birth of their first child in 1707.
