The Cooper family has not kept good family tree records through the centuries and decades and as a result, there is some conflicting information about some of the early ancestors. This Cooper branch has conflicting information about the father of Peyton, Allen and William Monroe Cooper. Both men are listed here as the possible father. More research needed to satisfy all parties about this ancestor.

He married Elizabeth Ann Hall Feb 13, 1843 in Williamson Co, Tenness, and they had 9 children. He married 2nd Nancy Blevins about 1862 and they had 2 children.
