Biography

Henry C. Snoke married Eva I. Cooper on Aug 10, 1921 in Lafayette, Indiana. Elmer Ray & Nellie (Gilbert) Cooper were Eva's parents but Elmer's parents Jacob & Ida (Arnold) Cooper raised Eva as their own.

The Elkhart Truth July 26, 1971 EVA SNOKE GOSHEN— Mrs. Eva Irene Snoke, 66, of 417 N. Ninth St., died this morning at Elkhart General Hospital. She had been admitted there on Sunday and in ill health several years. She was born in Peru , Ind. On March 1, 1905, and had lived in Goshen since 1927. She was married to Henry Clay Snoke on Nov. 28, 1917; he died Feb. 2, 1969. Surviving are two sons, Clarence, Goshen, and Ralph, Sarasota, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence C. (Mary) Anderson, Sarasota, Fla., and Mrs. Delbert (Gladys) Schmucker, Jr., Goshen; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Bruce Mosier will officiate, and burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. ^[1]
