Oscar Corbin ... [1]

GALLIPOLIS — Oscar J. Corbin, 86, Gallipolis, died on Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, W.Va.Mr. Corbin retired from the Dayton Mental Health Center and was a self-employed exterminator. He was born on Dec. 27, 1916, in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late George W. and Clona Rice Corbin. Oscar is survived by his wife, Nora Baird Corbin of Gallipolis, whom he married on Feb. 6, 1960, in St. Albans, W.Va. Mr. Corbin was previously married to Marjorie May Niday Corbin, and she preceded him in death in 1956. Also surviving are seven children, Shirley (Dean) Jones of Gallipolis, George (Geneva) Corbin of Christiansburg, Ohio, Jimmy (Shirley) Corbin of Altamont, Ill., Carol (Keith) Drinkwine of Seattle, Wash., Randy (Lisa) Corbin of Pataskala, Ohio, Ron (Terry) Corbin of Gallipolis, and Rick (Loretta) Corbin of Gallipolis; 16 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Carter of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; one brother Emil (Betty) Corbin of Gallipolis; and several nieces and nephews. One brother, Charles Emerson Corbin, preceded him in death in 1994. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens with Steve Fuller officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Willis Funeral Home.
