Oscar was born March 26, 1887 in Cullasaja which is in Macon County, North Carolina. He is the son of John Corbin and Martha Ledford.[1]
Married Maude Livingston June 25, 1923 in Lower Creek Township, Caldwell, North Carolina.[2] They had one daughter, Doris Corbin.
Mr. Corbin was a merchant-postmaster at Gneiss, NC for 26 years before his retirement. (His general store was still standing next to the family home on the very south end of Gneiss in June of 2018.)
Died November 10, 1957 in Sugar Fork, Franklin, Macon, North Carolina. Buried in Sugar Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellijay, Macon County, North Carolina.[3][4][5]
