Noah is listed with Louisa on both: the 1850 Census[3] (with eight children listed) and the 1860 Census[4] (with four children and his mother-in-law in his residence) in Barbour, Virginia. Noah passed away at the age of 62 in November of 1864:
His pension records verify that he served in the military in Company H of the 10th West Virginia Infantry.[6] Further research indicates he fought for the Union.[7]
