We have Martin’s original muster sheet calling him and others to serve in the war.

His daughter Mary’s middle name was without question “Lovewell”. We have a multitude of family papers and pictures labeled as such  :)

There is a Corliss book which lists possibly a nephew who served in the Indian Campaigns after the Civil War.

There was a Corliss listed as a resident officer at Fort Robinson State Park.

Placing this note here as a reminder to myself to investigate further. It might be an interesting puzzle if anyone else is curious.
