Garrett Cornelison (1796 - 1878)

Garrett was born in 1796 to Jesse Cornelison and Mary D Roberts. His parents moved the family from North Carolina to Kentucky between 1797 and 1809, and then to Tennessee.

He married at age 23, probably in Tennessee or Illinois, and had several children. When that wife died in Sep 1847, he remarried in Dec 1847 and had 4 more children. He moved from Illinois to Greene Co, Missouri between the 1830 and 1840 US Census reports. In 1859 he bought 80 acres in Taney Co, Missouri, which is where he died in 1878 at 81 years old.
