Meredith Cornelius was born 20 Jul 1851 Blount Co., AL - died 4 Aug 1935 Bandera Co., TX. Buried Vanderpool Cemetery, Bandera Co., Texas, USA

Meredith was the youngest child of Joel Adams Cornelius and Mary "Polly" Easley of Blount County Alabama. He married Keziah Tidwell November 19, 1868 in Blount County. Keziah died 1905 in Concho County Texas and is buried in Live Oak Cemetery, Concho County.

Meredith and Keziah moved from Alabama to Ellis County Texas prior to 1875. In 1899 he begins to appear on the tax rolls of Concho County Texas where he farmed until sometime in the 1920's. In 1930 he was lving with his daughter Nancy Jane Murphree in Knox County Texas.
