Honor Cornelius was born about 1737 and baptised on 11th April 1737 at Lanteglos by Camelford, Cornwall, England. Her parents were William Cornelius and Elizabeth Parsons.[1]
Honor Cornelius married Richard Chenoweth on 16th September 1762 at Lanteglos by Camelford, Cornwall, England.[2][3]
Honor and Richard Chenoweth had at least four children.
Honor Chenoweth died in 1809 and was buried on 12th February 1809 at Lanteglos by Camelford, Cornwall, England.[4]
Reference Notes
Spelling of her first name, Honor or Honour, would normally be determined from the birth/baptism record but the OPC record is no help as it only has the abbreviation "Honr."
Both the marriage and the burial records are in the name Honour, so on that basis, Honour is chosen as her first name.
The burial record used is believed to belong to Honor, even with the somewhat unusual spelling of her last name as "Chinnover". I can find no other records in the name Chinnover so it appears to be an error and a wonderful example of spell it how you hear it. Perhaps the recorder was a bit deaf as well!
