Biography
Mattie was born in 1875, a daughter of Oscar Cornell and Elzada Woodcock.
She married Eugene Lyautey in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania on 21 March 1893. They initially farmed in Warrensville Township, Cuyahoga, Ohio, United States. They later moved to Le Boeuf, Erie County, Pennsylvania. They had five daughters:
Rhoda L. Lyautey (1894-1983) - married Earl F. Connor
Ferol A. Lyautey (1896-1976) - married Frank Shade
Daisy P. Lyautey (1899-1966) - married 1) Irvin C. Burlingham; 2) Garfield A. Martin
Velva Lyautey (1901-?)
Flossie Lyautey (1903-1996) - married 1) Amos Martin; 2) Anthony Abbott
By 1940 Eugene and Mattie were living with their eldest daughter, Rhoda, and her family at 2314 East Avenue, Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania.
At age 81, Mattie died in 1957 at Warren State Hospital from broncho-pneumonia. She was buried with her husband in Dunn Valley Cemetery, McKean, Erie County Pennsylvania, USA.
