Biography
Clark C Cornett was born on July 8, 1818, in Kentucky, the child of John Samuel Cornett and Mary "Polly". He died on November 19, 1909, in Letcher, Kentucky, at the impressive age of 91.[1]
CLARK CORNETT m. in 1842, Malvina Smith - b. May 18, 1822 in Harlan County, Kentucky. d. July 3, 1907 - she was the daughter of Andrew and Betty Smith. She is buried in Cornett Cemetery in Gilley, Kentucky.
They had several children. They are as follows:[2]

- Silas W. Cornett Born: Oct 1846 in Perry Ky died Aug 1925 in Letcher Letcher Ky
- William Cornett was born on 19 Apr 1848 in Perry Co., KY. He died on 15 Jan 1940 in Letcher Co., KY. William married Sarah "Sally" Eversole daughter of Roland Eversole and Lucinda Campbell on 24 Dec 1868 in Harlan Co., KY. Sarah was born on 20 Nov 1847 in Harlan Co., KY. She died on 9 Jul 1942 in Letcher Co., KY. Sarah was counted in a census on 30 Jul 1850 in Harlan Co., KY, Dist.1, #109, age 3 (Sally). She was counted in a census on 17 Aug 1860 in Harlan Co., KY, #793, age 13.Had a son Green Cornett, who had a son Virgil Cornett.
- Mary (Polly) Cornett b. 1850, d. unknown. m. ? Blair.
- Granville P.Cornett b. January 21, 1854, d. January 8, 1942. m. Mary Jane Shepherd - b. October 19, 1859, d. October 19, 1940.
- Perina (Reumia ?) Cornett b. January 18, 1855, d. unknown. (not sure about her).
- Sarah (Sally) Cornett b. October 12, 1856, d. July 8, 1937. m. Edward Talton Holbrook on May 15, 1879.
- Jonathon Cornett b. July 12, 1857, d. unknown. (not sure about him).
- Elijah Cornett b. 1862 or 1863, d. unknown. m. Lizzie Callahan.
