Biography

Her name appears in the records as Esther, Hester and Easter.

Where, pray tell, would have been the Wilcox families of Westfield, Middletown and of Meriden, had it not been for this marriage of John Wilcox with Esther Cornwall. Nearly all of them come from their son Ephraim.^{[citation needed]}

Birth

Esther Cornwall was born in May 1650 in Middletown, Connecticut. Her father, William, was 41, and her mother, Mary, was 32.

Marriages

She married John Wilcox and they had four children together. ^[1]

Esther Cornwall, daughter of William Cornwall of Middletown, was the second wife of John Wilcox. She was a girl just out of her teens, two years younger than his daughter Sarah Ensign.

John was now well along in years, but although thrice bereaved he was not utterly discouraged. He soon began to look about and before the end of the year he took to himself as wife

After five years of wedded life with Esther, John Wilcox died May 24, 1676. Esther survived him fifty seven years.

She then married John Stow and they had three children together.

Death

She died on May 2, 1733, in her hometown, having lived a long life of 83 years,
