Marriage: Married Charles Donovan (his second marriage) on 29 Aug. 1876, at St.
Paul's Church, Lexington, Fayette Co., KY. Witnesses were Charles Heaney and
Rosa Burns. Priest was Fr. Bekkers. Info from marriage certificate, marriage
license, and 'Return of a Marriage' all in Lexington Public Library.
Parents: Philip Corrigan and Ann Shields.
'Mrs. Charles Donovan Dies At Home Here'
'Mrs. Margaret Corrigan Donovan, 89, died at 12:05 a.m. yesterday at her residence, 315 West Maxwell street, following a lingering illness.
'Widow of Charles Donovan, she was the daughter of the late Phil and Ann Shields Corrigan and was born in Franklin Co., Pennsylvania. Mrs. Donovan had been a resident of Lexington since early childhood, was educated at St. Catherine's Academy and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic church and the Altar Society.
'Survivors include: four daughters, Mrs. Harry Ramsey, Mrs. Clarence Jones and Miss Margaret Donovan, Lexington, and Mrs. John Sullivan, Covington; four sons, J. P. Donovan, Henderson, John J. Donovan, Ludlow, and Jerry W. and Charles M. Donovan, Middletown, Ohio; 30 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.'
'The body has been removed from D. M. Lows' funeral home to the residence where it will remain until the time of services, which will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Catholic church. Rev. Joseph McKenna will officiate and burial will take place in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.'
'Members of the Altar Society will meet at 3:30 p.m. today at the residence for the recitation of the rosary.'

'Funeral Services for Mrs. Margaret C, Donovan, who died Sunday, will be held at 9 a.m. today at St. Paul's Catholic church. The Rev. Joseph McKenna will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.'

According to notations in the Donovan Family Bible Charles Michael Donovan and Margaret Corrigan were married by Rev. J. H. Fechers at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY. They were married, on August 27, 1876, and the marriage was witnessed by Charles Hance and Rose Burns.
