Research Notes
The transcription of the 1860 census gives his father's first name as "Daniel" instead of "David." The image of the listing doesn't help to clear that up. What's written could be interpreted either way.[1] The 1870 Census clearly shows "Daniel."[2]
Many of the records for this family give the last name as "Carson."
