Biography

At the time of the 1850 Census, Amos and Martha were living in Bristol, Bucks County, Pennsylvania with their children: Richard (30), Elicetta (28), Maria Ann (22), Amos D. (20), Martha E. (15) and Josephine (11), as well as an Adolphus Watson who is listed as a "laborer."[1]

By 1860, they had moved to Middletown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. There were six people living in their household: Richard (42), Elizetta (36), Maryan A (30), Amos (28), Martha E (21) -- and an Anna Joyfull (18). Was she a daughter, or perhaps a domestic?[2]
