Very loosely translated "We find this note following the entry of burial in the parish register; Interred in the Church; died on the road of Epinieres from which he was returning, he was injured by a dry, dead branch, that hit him on the head, while he was travelling for his profession as carpenter. The distance deprived us of the satisfaction of giving him the sacraments, and the care he should have received before his departure. He was always known to us for hi piety, he was someone we all looked up to as an example for the young people of the parish. Give us consolation & hope that God gave him solace.
