DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Samuel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Samuel:
Coulter-831 and Coulter-2077 appear to represent the same person because: Both were married to Sarah who passed away on July 21 1886 at the home of her son Joseph.
Thank-you for your posting of the Coulter relatives. The Adairs, Livingstones and Coulters still have relatives living in Ballymacilroy area of Antrim, Ireland. They were originally part of the Hamilton/Montgomery Scottish lowlanders from Fife that settled in North Ireland. You will find the immigration records on PRONI in Belfast where many settled in the US and Canada. There is a Livingstone cousin who looks after records of the Brookside Presbyterian Church near Ahoghill, Antrim where a great many of our ancestors are buried. Keep up the good work.
