BOWRA NEWS. ... A pretty wedding was celebrated on Monday, at the residence of Mrs. Coulter, South Arm, the contracting parties being Mr. W. Brown and Miss Islet Coulter. The Rev. Mr. McDougall performed the pleasing ceremony. Miss Jessie Brown acted as bridesmaid, and Mr. W. Coulter as best man. After the ceremony a sumptuous breakfast was partaken of, and dancing indulged in until the early hours of Tuesday morning. |

OBITUARY MRS. W. J. BROWN. With sincere sympathy for those bereaved, we regret to chronicle the death of a highly-esteemed pioneer of Bulingary, in the person of Mrs. Islett Margaret Macleay Brown, wife of Mr. W. J. Brown. About three years ago Mrs. Brown underwent an operation, but had been ill ever since, spending almost the last six months in "Jalna" Hospital, where death relieved her of her sufferings on the 18th July. The interment took place in the Methodist Cemetery, Bowraville, on the following day. Rev. A. Palmer officiating. The late Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Coulter, of Bowraville. She was born at East Kempsey 59 years ago, was married in October, 1900, in Bowraville, where she lived for one year, spending the remaining years at the homestead at Bulingary. She leaves a sorrowing husband, five daughters and two sons—Mrs. Les Marks (Mascot), Mrs. Joseph Lack (Wellington), Mrs. W. H. Rolleston (North Arm, Bowraville), Mrs. W. Ulrick (Bulingary), Mrs. A. Chapman (at Bulingary home), Cecil Brown (Taylor's Arm), Fred Brown (Medlow); also 20 grandchildren. All members of the family were present at the Bulingary home on Sunday last. |

APPLICATION will be made after fourteen days from the publication hereof that Probate of the last Will and Testament of the abovenamed deceased dated Eleventh day of April one thousand nine hundred and forty four, may be granted to CECIL RHODES BROWN and FREDERICK OSCAR BROWN, the Executors in the said Will named, and all notice may be served at the offices of the undersigned. All creditors in the Estate of the deceased are hereby required to send in all particulars of their claims to the undersigned. DATED this 1st day of August, 1944.
