Notes on looking for sources - no marriage found in Yorkshire for 1686 on Ancestry or Find my Past. The date given on many Ancestry trees is 5 October 1686 at Stepney, London, and the source attached is an "England, Select Marriages," entry which gives no surnames only James and Grace (who is a widow).[1] However the James seems to be a misreading of Thomas, as the original register entry reads "Thomas Fussill of Limehouse, Mariner, & Grace Spurrier, W(idow)" so clearly not this couple.[2]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Gracey by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Gracey:
Unlikely she was the daughter of John Courtenay who lived in Molland in North Devon. Yorkshire is a long way away! As there is no evidence she is connected and she is not mentioned in the family wills I am going through now, I'm disconnecting her.
Costney-1 and Courtney-79 appear to represent the same person because: Both married to James Halstead. Part of an effort to clean up duplicates in the Crabtree family. Her daughter Jane, also found in duplicate, married a Crabtree.
