William Street Cox (son of Micajah Cox and Cathy Street) was born 1765 in Probley County, VA, and died 1836 in Casey County, KY. He married (1) Nancy Unknown. He married (2) Mary Smith
Casey County, Kentucky Circuit Court Order Book 3-Page 442, August Term 1832 William Cox, a Revolutionary soldier, produced to the court an application declaration for a pension with a certificate of George Weatherford & Archibald Weatherford annexed; all of which was sworn to and on his motion the same is file of record and ordered to be copied and certified to the Secretary of War U.S.A. and the said court do hereby declare their opinion after the investigation of the matter and after putting the interrogatories prescribed by the War Department, that the above named applicant was a Revolutionary soldier and served as he states and that court further certifies that it appears to them that George Weatherford, who has signed the proceeding certificate, is a clergyman, resident in Casey County and that Archibald Weatherford, who also signed the same, is a resident of the same county and is a credible person and that their statement is entitled to credit.
