Biography

In Apr 1826, James Cox sold land on Goblintown Creek to his son Francis for $50.[1]

  • Paternal and/or relationship is confirmed on MyHeritage by a triangulated 18.5 cM segment on chromosome 12 from 118403547 to 128699543 (rs2393330 – rs10847572, 6016 SNPs). MRCAs are James Joseph Cox and an unknown wife. They are the 3rd GGP of Elwood Cox, 4th GGP of J. Hornbacher, and 5th GGP of TG, all through different children.
  • Paternal relationship is confirmed on MyHeritage by a triangulated 18.0 cM segment on chromosome 12 from 118403547 to 128586329 (rs2393330 – rs9300279, 5888 SNPs). MRCA is James Cox (different wives) with DNA matches from descendants J. Hornbacher (4GGS), Elwood Cox (3GGS), and GMB (3GGD). Elwood Cox and GMB are also 4th cousins via Thomas Lilly and Rosanna Meador, but through a separate lineage than J. Hornbacher.
