DEATH OF MR. R. COX. A highly-respected district resident, Mr. R. Cox, of Wattle Ponds, died at his residence on Wednesday, after a long and trying illness. The deceased gentleman was a native of Maitland, where he was born in 1860, and he was thus 52 years of age. He has resided in the district during the greater part of his life, where he had made many friends. The late Mr. Cox was formerly an employee at Messrs. Gould Bros, and Co.'s Saw Mills, Singleton, where he worked for 21 years. He leaves a widow and nine children —six sons and three daughters. The remains were interred at the Methodist Cemetery, the funeral being very largely attended. 1912 Dec 21 Singleton Argus p. 4.
