COUNTY MAN DIED IN WEST VIRGINIA
BRAXTON J. COX, 63 year old former Wolfe County resident died suddenly of a heart attack in Cedar Grove, West Virginia, Saturday morning, Nov. 17.
Mr. Cox, a son of the late Dr. B.D. and Elizabeth Cox of Campton was born at Big Andy on April 14, 1882.
He was united in marriage with Miss Alice Stamper in Feb. 1903 and to this union seven children were born. All survive him with the exception of a daughter, Mrs. Nelle Hobbs, who died several years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Cox of Big Andy, two daughters, Mrs. Dora Dickerson of Beattyville, and Mrs. Pearl Vanderpool of Big Andy; four sons, Charlie Cox of Fixer, and Chester, George and Brack Cox of Big Andy; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Riggs of Campton and Mrs. Rose Profitt of Slade; two brothers, Dr. John L. Cox of West Liberty and S.D. Cox of Campton; twelve grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held at the Big Andy chruch Thursday morning at 10:00 with Rev. Morrison in charge.
Internment, under the direction of the Congleton funeral Home of Beattyville, was made in the Cox Cemetery at Big Andy.
