Biography

John Cox, son of Isaac Jr and Mary Elizabeth Marley Cox, born about 1770 in North Carolina and died about 1830 in Ohio when he tried to swim the Little Miami in flood stage after a day's work. He married Catherine Fox about 1803 in North Carolina.[1] They resided there until 1807 and moved with the family to South Western, Ohio on the Little Miami River.[2]

John and Catherine Fox Cox were the parents of;

  1. Isaac never married, died of old age
  2. Eli m Unknown, children: (1) Jefferson, (2) Mariah m __________Grey
  3. Solomon never married, died in Hamilton Count, Indiana
  4. David b. July 7 1807, d Oct 28 1890, m (1) Elizabeth Fox, a cousin, 1828

(2) Harriet Kaywood.

  1. Hiram married and moved to Illinois.
  2. Margaret m Elijah Weir and moved to Hamilton County, Indiana
  3. Elizabeth m Dennis Cusic
  4. Eliza m Milt Seitelmire
  5. Julia m Thomas Ireland.
