Thomas was born on 12 May 1853 ^[1] & baptised Thomas Henry Cox, on 12 July 1853 Dudley, St. Thomas, Worcestershire the son of Joseph Cox & Elizabeth. Date of birth included in entry. ^[2]

With sister Emma & mother Elizabeth Waterloo Street, Tipton, Staffordshire in 1861.^[3]
