Nelly was born in 1869. She was the daughter of Edwin Cox and Elizabeth Mary Reid.^[1]

The family emigrated to New York in 1869 aboard the Cella.^[2]

Nelly Norma Cox, 21, married Albert Francisco Smith, 46, on 27 May 1890 in St. George, Washington, Utah, United States.^[3]

Nellie Norma and Albert Francisco Smith had a number of children in Utah, including:

1. Heber Edwin Smith, 22 Apr 1891^[4] - 13 Aug 1965^[5]

She died in 1934 in Utah.^[6]
