We are sorry to chronicle the death of our near neighbor, Mrs. Mary Cool who was paralyzed on the 17th and died on the 18th and interred at Mt. Zion Cemetery on the 19th at 3 o’clock, p. m. Mrs. Cool’s maiden name was Cox. She first married George Pierce who died several years ago, and since she married Lot W. Cool, a brother to the Rev. Daniel Cool. She was 55 years of age and has been a member of the M. E. church from her youth. She never spoke from the time of her stroke to her demise. She leaves a husband and four children, ––three sons and one daughter, namely F. B. Pierce Roy, Warren, and Maud Cool, with brothers and sisters and many friends to mourn her departure.

She is buried in the Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, near Marquess, Preston County, WV.
