I saw you made some changed to a "Byrd" family. A niece, Bannie Byrd, is living with John White, husband of Mary Jane Harvard, in one of the census. I can't remember which now. I will also do some more checking, see if it is a member of the family you were working on.

Hi .

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great!

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Let me know. I can help you figure out if there's a project and introduce you to the project leaders.

I've been researching for a little over a year, but I am excited to have found a wiki genealogical community that values accuracy and collaboration. My prior experience is with a commercial system that caters more towards fantasy than reality much of the time. I'm looking forward to contributing my small piece of the story.

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to great information about GEDCompare, the process of adding a GEDCOM to WikiTree, that you might find helpful.

If you have any brick walls, collaboration might help bust through. Because WikiTree has only one profile for each person, the further back you go in your ancestry, the more likely cousins will find you and help out. ANY Wiki Genealogist can edit "Open" profiles (over 200 years old = open). There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: brickwall

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.

Welcome as a guest to WikiTree, Clayton!

We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile for each person.

Wow - You're the 1,498th Crabtree on Wikitree!

Our Honor Code is a very important part of why our Community is a friendly place to grow your family tree. Please read it to make sure you agree with our mission and our nine simple rules.

The help menu is at the top right or, ask a question at our G2G forum.

We were all novices at some point. There is a great Genealogy 101 reference list here.
