LOCKE CRAIG WAS THE GOVERNOR (DEMOCRAT PARTY) OF NORTH CAROLINA FROM 1912-1917. HE PREVIOUSLY SERVED IN THE N.C. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES FROM 1899-1902.

MT CRAIG WAS NAMED AFTER HIM IN 1947.

LOCKE IS BURIED AT RIVERSIDE CEMETERY ALONG WITH IMMEDIATE FAMILY: IN ASHEVILLE, BUNCOMBE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA.
