Biography
Hew Alexander was born in 1754.[1]He was the son of Hew Craig and Margaret Dumas. He passed away in 1793.[2]
He was mentioned in his father's will[3] and described as a Madras merchant. His will of 1793 provides for a wife and two sons. His will described his wife as Mootamah, and the following sons, James Craig b. 10 Jul, 1781 and Henry Craig b. 7 Jun, 1784. They were born in India also stated in the will.[4]
