William Thomas Craighead (also spelled Craghead - Find a Grave) was born in 1804 to Timothy Craighead (1774–1847) and Mary Ann "Polly" (Agee) Craighead (1782–1842) whom married on December 28, 1802 in the area of Franklin, Virginia.[1] On March 28, 1828 he married Susannah Maxey (1797–1885) in Pittsylvania, Virginia.[2] They are listed together on the following census reports:
