Biography

William Craighead was born June 13, 1731, in the White Clay Creek Hundred, in New Castle county, Delaware. William migrated to Hanover county, Virginia and then Lunenburg county. During the American Revolutionary War, William was a member of the Committee of Safety, and furnished supplies in support of the Continental Army. ^[1]

William Craighead performed Patriotic Service in Virginia in the American Revolution.
