Biography

Charles was born in 1856. Charles was the child of John Cram and Ruth Duffield. Charles passed away about 1930. [1]

According to family recollection (Aletta Braden Lyman), Charles Cram went off to Colorado never to return. It was known that he kept in touch by mail.

Actually we find he went off to Durango Colorado - as did Robert Armstrong Duffield, the brother of Ruth Cram. Refer to the Durango census years 1885, 1900, 1910, 1930, 1940.

Later we find two old family album photos from Durango, Colorado. One photo of children was found to have a note on the back "to mother Cram". By process of elimination, since we can account for his two sisters (Aunt Het and Hannah) we believe that the photos are of the Charles Cram family. It appears that one photo is his wife in Colorado and the second photo is his children.
