When Nellie Crampean and her twin sister Minnie Evelyn were born on October 11, 1889, in Ontario, Canada, their father, George, was 30 and their mother, Jessie, was 24. She married Burton Roy ( aka Roy Albert) Phillips and they had five children together. She also had one child from another relationship. She had one brother and two sisters.
