Biography
Keziah Crandall, the daughter of Jeremiah Crandall and Keziah Casey, was born in 1749 in Hopkinton, Kings County, Rhode Island. [1]
Keziah was wed to Paine Waite, son of Thomas Waite and Bridget Crandall, on 29 October 1771 by Elder John Pendleton. [2][3] [4] [5][6]
Keziah Crandall Wait passed away in 1825. [7]
Historical Geographical Note
- Hopkinton was a town in Providence Plantations. In 1729 Kings County was created from Providence Plantations, and Hopkinton found itself within this new county. Only on 29 October 1781, that is, after the American War of Independence, was Kings County renamed Washington County. [8]
