The only available record for Tabitha is that showing her marriage to Solomon Leavitt in Milton, Massachusetts on 25 Nov 1731. Records for Solomon indicate his first marriage was to Tabitha, followed by two other marriages. Due to the lack of documentation, other sites have several errors in linking her to other spouses and parents. Family Search shows her parents as Ensign John Crane (profile ID# LZ48-RSY) and Hannah Leonard (profile ID# L6J1-JRT); this is highly unlikely as the History of Norfolk County, Massachusetts shows their daughter Tabitha Crane born 27 Dec 1697 in Braintree, Mass (now Quincy), married Joseph Hunt in July 1728 and died in 1756. Another Tabitha Crane from this area born about the same time married an Ephraim Pratt, again at the same time this Tabitha would have been married to Solomon. He remarried in 1749, so she must have died about that time.
