1790 John Crawford is shown in Ballstown, Albany County, New York as head of a family consisting of two males over 16, two males under 16, and three females. His brothers Stephen and Henderson are the heads of the next two houses on the street.[4]
2 October 1804 widowed when Rhoda dies.
28 March 1805 marries Ann Wood in Ballston, Saratoga Co., New York[1]
21 November 1844 died in Macomb Co., Michigan
"Ann Crawford applied for B. L. Wt. Aug. 16, 1869, age 96, from Cohocton, Steuben Co., N.Y.; declares that she is widow of John Crawford who was private in 1778 under Capt. Boughton, N. Y. State Militia & served 6 mos.
"She m. him Mch. 28, 1805 in Ballston, Saratoga Co., N. Y. by Elder Waldo; her name before m. was Ann Wood & she was his 2d w. & he d. Nov. 21, 1844 at Macomb, Macomb Co. Mich. John Crawford was b. Sept. 21, 1760. Ann Wood was b. Sept. 20, 1773. Ira Crawford was b. Jan 20, 1806."[1]
Burial in November 1844 at the Meade Cemetery, Macomb, Macomb County, Michigan.
Research Notes
I find no record of any Crawford children being baptized at the South Salem Church.[5]
