David was born on September 10, 1811 in Trumbull County, Ohio to Crawford-448 and Wilson--1153. David never married, and lived his life as a farmer in Ohio. The family moved from Trumbull County to Allen County, where they took up farming in Bath Township. His father died sometime before 1850, and his mother and younger siblings lived with him.[1][1][2][2][3][3][4][4][5][5] David lived and farmed the land he owned until he could no longer work the land, then moved into a boarding house in Bath.[6][6] He died in 1910, at the age of 88, in Bath Township, Ohio.
