James emigrated in 1731 and purchased a tract of land in what has become the town of Crawford, Orange Co., NY.[1]
James was born in 1714. James Crawford served as a soldier during the Revolution War in the Ulster County, New York Militia, Second Regiment. and the Ulster County, New York Militia, (Land Bounty Rights) Fourth Regiment. He passed away in 1802, and was buried at Goodwill Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Montgomery, Orange County, New York.[2]
