The 1850 US Census enumerated Jesse with siblings in the household of their father in Pike County, Mississippi.[1]
Actually Jesse was enumerated next door with his brother Thomas and Thomas’ family.[2]
In 1860 Jesse and Jefferson were both listed at age 19.[3]
