Biography

Descendant of William Crawford Arrived in South Carolina from Scotland, 1772.

Mamie Jo Crawford was born in Texas in 1914, the daughter of Henry Crawford and Mamie Abernathy. ^[1]

She moved with her parents to Los Angeles in 1921. ^[2]

Her parents died within a year of each other when she was 15. She worked as a nanny as a teenager after they died.

Sometime as an adult Mamie Jo changed her name to Joelle. ^{[3] [4]}

She married John Beard in 1939. ^[5]

They had two children: #John Living

1. Catherine (MacDougall) 1944 - 2015

They lived in Monrovia, California. ^[6]

In 1957 she married Raymond Colville in Las Vegas, Nevada and they had Joelle. ^[7]

They divorced shortly after the birth of their daughter.

Joelle worked as an accountant around Los Angeles.

Joelle passed away in 2011. ^[8]
