According to the History of Ogle County, Illinois, 1878, Hezekiah E. Crawford, born July 1, 1854, was a son of James Crawford and his wife, Eliza J. A. Scott, "a sister of T. A. Scott the great railroad king."

Easton was born about 1854 in Pennsylvania. He was the son of James Crawford and Eliza Unknown. Easton did farm work, probably on the family farm. He passed away after 1880.

When Hezekiah Easton Crawford was born in July 1854 in Pennsylvania, USA, his father, James, was 45 and his mother, Eliza, was 34. He married Mary Brennan in 1900 in Winnebago, Illinois, USA.
